Artist's Description
This is the second installment in my "Broken Window" series, and the concept is simple: a woman walks in solitude on a mountain path covered in snow, and we are looking at her through a stained glass window. To me, the broken window concept represents the basic core of what art allows us to do--it breaks barriers between people and allows us to see new worlds, or the same world through different eyes.
I suppose the original spark for this particular painting emerged from watching a magical production of The Nutcracker by the Colorado Ballet. However, the surroundings were very much inspired by Lookout Mountain in Golden, near Denver, Colorado.
I hope you enjoy this image! The original piece is 36"x48" but I'm offering prints in various sizes. Anyone interested in the original, please note that the paint may take a few more months to dry properly.
